Depending on the size of the cutting, they do sell patch repair kits. Yous may be able to sew or fabric glue.
A photo may be able to help.
If the repair doesn't look as nice, you could besides buy a sofa cover, or a blanket or pillow could cover it upward.

Was the hole there when yous purchased or do you know for sure? since it is only one week sometime, I would advise asking the store where purchased to set it or supersede the sofa.
- I exercise non know how conspicuous the pigsty is or where it is located simply I practice not believe you tin completely remove all appearance of the pigsty. Remember, you will be "patching" a hole and I practice know that sometimes these "fixes" are not as strong as claimed and some may eventually loosen and may become a bigger hole.

Question: Repairing a Rip in a Microfiber Burrow?
I have a microfiber burrow that has a rip in the seat cushion. The difficult function is the absorber is attached to the couch and won't come up and then I cannot simply put a piece of fabric under it. Any suggestions for what I can do? Also what should I apply?

Non sure if this would be what y'all're looking for, but seems equally though it might piece of work: Heat n Bond. You should test it on a piece of scrap fabric start, before using information technology on your sofa, but it looks as though this wouldn't be too noticeable.

Y'all tin use fray check to make sure the holes don't become bigger. Then darn the holes closed with matching thread.

Nothing available that merely told me what I wanted to know. Plenty of suggestions every bit to where I can purchase velvet and even how to sew it when making up a garment but Nil on how to repair a tear.
